Bishop Marty Stebbins Consecrated 10th Bishop of Montana ~ Dec. 7, 2019

    The Most Reverend Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, consecrated Bishop Martha E. Stebbins on December 7, 2019, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Helena, MT.

   

    Bishop Marty is the 10th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Montana, the first woman to be Bishop of Montana, and the 100th female bishop in the Anglican Communion.

    Bishop Marty last served St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Wilson, NC.
​
    She is a Board-Certified Veterinarian with a PhD. and a love for animals.
​
   

Bishop Michael Curry said about Bishop Marty Stebbins:  "She's the kind of person that is going to go in and listen and learn and help people think through how can we follow Jesus together here."
